The Breakthrough Technique to Master Your Sour Situation

by Richard on

sour-situation-550“When it rains, it pours.”

This is perhaps the best piece of negative propaganda circling our human lives today.

When somebody tells us this, we get a sad look on our face, nod, and brace ourselves for the Universe to take one more big dump on our lives.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Sure, life will still throw you a curve ball every now and then, but YOU have the power to be the league’s number one curve ball home-run-hitter.

But this can only happen from a place of peace.

If you want to breakthrough your current (or next) sour situation, you need a safe, reliable, and proven technique to lean on.

“When it rain, it pours”.

Owning a technique like this is the difference between playfully splashing around in a puddle and having your ceiling cave in from water damage.

The Solution

The good news is that there’s a solution.

And thank goodness!

Our sour situations don’t only affect us, but also the people around us. We bleed our bad mood.

And not only in the present, but also in the future. Consider what kind of example your setting for those around you.

When something “bad” happens, how do you handle it? Would you want your friends handling it the same way? Your spouse? Your kids?

The ramifications of our sour mood stretch far beyond what the imagination is cable of.

So let’s “nip this thing in the bud” with an uplifting and graceful Visualization that will give you immediate results.

The Visualization

Hope you’re not scared of heights.

In this Visualization, we’re literally rising out of the mud to give ourselves the strategic advantage over our sour situation.

The key is to “zoom out” and see the situation from an objective position.

This is usually extremely difficult to do as controlling our emotions takes a great amount of observation, focus, and control. But not for us, we’re taking the short cut.

The most objective position is ALWAYS the one furthest from the source.

So what will we do?

We will use this Visualization to move far away from the sour situation.

Consider this, how does a bird of prey find it’s food? Does it walk down the street looking here and there? Does it hang out in a tree all day?

No. It soars above the landscapes, virtually free of distractions. It has THE MOST strategic position to swoop in and claim what it wants. Nature and evolution built these birds this way. These birds are still around- there must be something to it then, don’t you think?

The How-To

Maybe you’re in a sour situation right now, or maybe your bulking up for the next one. Either way, this Visualization is to be performed in the same fashion.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that this Visualization can be used for a multitude of objectives. You are encouraged to experiment, like with all things, and see how this Visualization can best serve you.

The instructions for this Visualization are designed to be simple so that you may memorize it (or get a general “feel” of it), walk away from the computer, and have a completely unique and individual experience.

This means DO NOT perform this visualization while reading the instructional. Read it. Process it. Then perform it on your own.

Step 1: Dial in

Put yourself in your sour situation.

Begin by thinking about all of the small and big events in your sour situation. Recall all of the small and big details. Be specific.

Then, leave the thinking mind alone, and begin to feel the emotions that have risen. Try your best not to “think” and just “feel”. If you’re having trouble leaving the thinking mind alone, that’s OK. The main objective is to put yourself in the middle of the sour situation.

Step 2: Zoom out

Think camera lens. Think telescope. Think Google Maps.

You invested so much into putting yourself into the sour situation. Now move yourself far away from it.

If your sour situation is in your home, begin to zoom out from your home. If at work, begin to zoom out from there. Give yourself a bird’s eye view of what’s been troubling you.

Use your breath as the vehicle for your “change in position”. Breathe out to push away from the source of your sour situation. Breathe in to rest. Repeat this cycle of breathing until you are in a place where you fill at ease.

You may find yourself a few feet above the building. You may find yourself in the clouds. You may find yourself in the Stratosphere. Use whatever works best for you.

Step 3: Look back

When you have successfully visualized yourself away from your sour situation, maintain that space and give your attention to the source of your sour situation.

Those problems are so small now. It’s like looking at ants. Those events and feelings can’t survive in your current space. Feel at peace.

From your place of peace, look at your sour situation in a new light. There is much to be learned here.

Step 4: Return

When you’re ready, breathe in to bring yourself closer to your physical self and breathe out to rest. You are encouraged to make this a slow and steady decent back.

When your state has normalized, take a few moments to rest and reflect.

In Conclusion

This is the quickest and most reliable way to assume responsibility for your life and the events that give it character.

The next time you find yourself in a sour situation, come back to this Visualization. And remember, it’s not just for you, but also for the people who would look to you for assurance.
